New Zealand

From October to December 2008, I spent 7 weeks in New Zealand, mostly tramping (hiking) in the mountains of the South Island during their spring season. I traveled from town to town, with no fixed itinerary, staying for about a week at a time in each place to explore the nearby mountains. The main places I based my hikes from were Mount Cook Village, Queenstown, Fox Glacier, Arthur's Pass, Wanaka, and Te Anau.
