Here are some photos from springtime backcountry snowboarding in the Front Range, Gore Range, and Sawatch Range of Colorado during the 2006 season.
Spring Descents in Colorado

Riding Torreys
Jason King riding down the Northwest Couloir of Torreys Peak. This is right after the initial technical section, when the couloir opened up with wide powdery snow. Once we got to this section we were able to stomp on the gas and rocket down the remaining 2500 feet.

Torreys Northwest Couloir

At the bottom looking back up at our fresh tracks. Note the enormous scale of our high-speed carves! Haha!

Scoping the Line
Jason King stands on the razor edge summit of Peak 12620. The rugged peaks of the Northern Gore Range are visible in the background. Although our initial plan was to ride down the narrow couloir that we had hiked up, we discovered upon arriving at the summit that the north side of the mountain was filled with gorgeous preserved powder. There was no question which side to ride down!
