In mid-October we traveled to the Mediterranean island of Mallorca, Spain, for a week of holiday with some of Claudia's family. Though Mallorca is most known for its beaches, we opted to stay in Valldemossa, a quaint old village full of narrow cobblestoned streets nestled in a valley at the foot of the mountains. 

We actually planned this trip with Claudia's sister's family as a surprise for their mother's 60th birthday. Their mother had no clue about the trip until they surprised her with the plane tickets the night before! Then when they all showed up at the AirBnB apartment, we opened the door for a double surprise!!! Priceless.
