Winter is off to a slow start here in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado. We've gotten a few snow storms here and there, and the snowpack is gradually growing inch by inch in the mountains, but winter is taking its sweet time so far.

I have yet to do any notable mountainous outings either this winter, aside from chopping up a bunch of firewood and walking around the neighborhood - as adventurous as that can be. The deer are back in the sage and it's been amusing watching the bucks stalking the does around the backyard and chasing other bucks away.

Claudia and I have some big plans for early January that I'm super excited for (more on that later) so mainly this last month has felt like a waiting period and my mind is mostly living in the future lately as I count down the days until our next big adventure!
