La Sal Mountains
Included search variations: La Sal Mountains, La Sals, La Sal
La Sal Mountains rise over 8,000 vertical feet above the town of Moab, Utah and the surrounding canyonlands. As seen from the various parts of Canyonlands National Park, the oftentimes snow-capped peaks of La Sals (especially the pyramidal peak of Mount Tukuhnikivatz) tower above on the eastern skyline. From high atop these mountains, you have a bird's eye view of much of southern Utah including all of Canyonlands and Arches National Parks, the Henry Mountains, Capitol Reef National Park, and the San Rafael Swell; and to the east: Grand Mesa, the entire Uncompahgre Plateau, and the San Juan Mountains.
